Bloom still affects them and brightens the white nebulae up a bit, but it's far more appropiate. This also means systems with bright backgrounds like T37 no longer get the whiteout-overkill. Which means that when you stare into bright lights (suns, ships etc.), you no longer get a whiteout, but the bloom scales down (simulating your eyes getting used to the changed brightness). Where Disco Vanilla just slaps on a "bloom everything all the time to the maximum!" I decided to go for a more balanced approach, also reintroducing the "dynamic" bloom. This has various benefits in terms of perfomance (MUCH improved!) and also visuals. Which is much newer (mostly because it's a DX9 version and not an ancient DX8 one like the current one is) and still works with Freelancer (also eliminates the startup seizure-stroboscope). So I trashed it and brought in a different ENB version ("Burning Paradise"). I think they work, but how to do that, you'll have to google or something.Got pissed off by the ancient and not-really-awesome default Disco ENB settings. ReShade also can do presets, but i haven't tried to use SweetFX presets on it. Then you can hit "home" (i think) in game to pull up the overlay and tweak everything. exe, choos Dx9, and dowload the shaders you want to use. It's easy to use, it has an ingame overlay, you don't have to mess with text files if you don't want to, and easy to install. You use that "as is".ĭelete the SweetFX/ENB completely, then install ReShade (). It's a combination of SweetFX with ENB added on top of it, so whatever preset you're triyng to apply is clashing with the ENB (which would explain your graphical glitches. Plus, if you're using the provided SweetFX/ENB thing, that's there to not be changed. Probably uses some shader or something that the provided one doesn't have or whatever. If the preset doesn't work, it's probably because you lack the required shader that the preset is using. If you want to mess with those, then install ReShade, and maybe do your own preset, but if not, i think ReShade can read SweetFX presets. SweetFX is kinda, well, i think obsolete now?
